About KMA

KERALA MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION

Kerala Management Association (KMA) was established in 1957 to promote sound management principles across the state. The institute was founded with Mr. M. S. Venkitaraman, Administrative Officer of Cochin Port as the President, Mr. S. Nallaperumal, Dy. General Superintendent of FACT as the Secretary and Mr. Paul Pothen, again of FACT, as the Joint Secretary. The membership consisted of 5 Corporate Members, 11 Associate Corporate Members, 7 Individual Members and 1 Life Member. Over the decades, KMA has grown vertically and horizontally to spearhead the Management movement in Kerala. Eminent personalities from across the industries in the state, now head the team that work towards social and managerial empowerment.

CSR Conclave

KMA devised the All Kerala CSR Conclave to promote the social responsibility initiatives taken up by Corporate organizations and NGOs and to showcase their best CSR projects. The Conclave was intended to bring together the various organizations that aim to make a difference in the society and to provide ample guidance and support to help them reach out to those in need.

CSR Conclave 2018

The first CSR Conclave was held on 6th July 2018 at Le’ Meridian Convention Centre, Maradu, Kochi, Kerala aimed at showcasing some of the best CSR initiatives adopted by various companies in the state in the fields of Education, Health & Hygiene, Child & Elderly Care and Environment & Greenery. The Corporates, NGOs and others got a chance to interact with and understand the varied opportunities available in the CSR field.
In his presidential address, the KMA President Mr. Vivek Krishna Govind recollected the advice put forth by Dr. E. Sreedharan during the 60th year Valedictory Celebrations of KMA. He suggested that, after its luminous history of spearheading professional management in the State of Kerala, KMA should henceforth take a direction towards facilitating CSR activities between Corporates and NGOs. This triggered a discussion for a platform to bring together CSR Heads and NGOs to showcase their activities, thus leading to the 1st ever successful CSR Conclave in the State. The event saw easy confirmations of speakers, Corporates, Government institutions, NGOs and delegates from different parts of the country.
